Brilliant spot to eat. Food was great and service couldn’t be faulted. A wee bit cold inside sometimes but overall good experience

Simply superb place to sit, drink coffee whisky, eat gorgeous fresh cakes or simply read. Delightful. Can’t recommend highly enough. Paid £35 for 4 coffees, two fresh delicious cakes, a sausage roll plate which was also delicious, and a whisky. Lovely decor and very friendly people which seems to be the norm around here.

We were greeted by a lovely young woman who took us through all the cakes available and then we were seated promptly. Our order was taken and we were served coffee and cake a few minutes later. Cake and coffee were excellent and the whole premise had character and a great collection of book to parouse . It was our first visit to this place and it won't be our last... First class.

It is a bit since we were here last but the charm and welcome have been maintained. Seating is a mixture of comfy chairs and table seating and the food is delicious cakes to cafe lunch. Surrounded by books it would be churlish not to buy but there is no pressure. Very dog friendly.
