We had a really excellent meal last night at the Cree Inn, to celebrate my son 's 15th birthday. The staff were attentive and really friendly, the dining area was cosy (if a little cool) and comfortable, and the food was excellent. This is not 'pub grub ', it was excellent quality, beautifully cooked and delicious. There were 6 of us eating, we all had starters and mains, and 3 had desserts. With drinks included the bill was around £170, which these days offers really fair value, and for the quality it was excellent. Compliments to the chef, and all of the staff. Vegetarian options: We had 2 vegetarians in our group, and there was a good choice. Starters were halloumi or a cheesy tart, and I chose garlic bread instead. Mains included a delicious mushroom risotto, basil and tomato pasta and a couple of other options. Parking: There is a small car park to the rear with space for around 4 cars, or free roadside parking nearby. Kid-friendliness: We had 2 teenagers in our party, and there was another child eating with their family, and they were all very happy. I didn 't see any high chairs or other specific options for younger children, but we didn 't ask or go into any other rooms, and there is a children 's menu with plenty of choice.
