Unfortunately, they only had two waitresses that managed a big birthday party, a bunch of pick-up orders plus the rest of us coming for the special. It seemed a little chaotic, but they managed well and I was eating a delicious meal in a timely matter.
The meals have been excellent, but the coffee is terrible—it's much too weak compared to how good it used to be. The service, however, is also very good.
The food was decent for a diner, but the prices didn't reflect the menu. Charging $15 for a pre-made burger patty with tater tots is a bit much. The girl at the register was quite rude. We ordered chili, but they were out of it. It seemed like she tried to calculate the discount in her head, but we didn’t receive the full amount off, and she didn’t give the correct change. I asked her two questions, and she didn’t respond either time. These young employees could use some customer service training. I was polite, so there was no reason for her attitude. It’s important to acknowledge when someone asks you a question. On a positive note, there is parking available for trucks and RVs.
The food is quite salty, but the staff and atmosphere are surprisingly pleasant for an old gas station.
A small town place...we go for breakfast whenever we visit my husbands Mom.
