I went back last week when the desire met and I was blown away again through the taste. Spicy, authentic and I must note NO pesky food coloring! P.S cocktails (specifically the Thirsty Horse) left a little to wish, but the rabbit guarantees 5 stars.
Made a lunch booking for Friday 30th December. They were extremely busy but accommodated us on time. Restaurant was neat, service was good. Their bunnies are very popular. Two of us are vegetarians. We were disappointed that the mixed veg. Curry was not available. We ordered the soya prawn and soya chops, nothing to rave about. The rest of our group enjoyed the kebab bunny and the chicken tikka. Soji for dessert was delicious. Will recommend.
We ordered lamb samoosas, lamb curry and rice, lamb bunny chow, prawn bunny chow, Tikka chicken with chips and hake and chips. It was a busy period so we waited approx 40 mins for our meals. The lamb bunny chow was exactly as I wanted thick and flavorsome gravy, melting potatoes with just the right amount of meat. It was perfect with the vinegar chillies. I also recommend the hake and tikka if youre looking for a healthier alternative. The Tikka was soft and juicy with a spicy sauce. The soji was a great way to end a delicious meal. This restuarant has a wide variety of meals with family friendly seating. Highly recommended.
Delicious food! our server nikki was really nice and I will always remember that absurdly yummy bunny: it began to get pretty busy so expect a little wait, but that only comes with a place so good. be patient, it is worth it!
My brother visited Jhb and wanted to taste one of the best curry houses of Durbans. 5 quarters of muttons later and I have to say we were not disappointed. The bread was stunningly fresh, Curry mouthwater and tasty with exactly the right amount of Gravy, so the entire rabbit was not wet, but perfect with the most tasty curry. Repeat the perpetrator, and I will return to commit this sin again! Sorry, no pictures. They didn't last long enough to stand in royal pride.
