Shuckin' Shack Oyster - Durham

The food was pretty good. I'm guessing they're suffering from the same staffing issues that a lot of restaurants are in that it's tough to find enough help. But even the help they had was seriously lacking. Some guy from the kitchen kept coming out and trying to make things better... Which helped but didn't really make up for the fact that our waitress was pretty absent. So, good food but not a good experience.

The food is great and they have a take out option, but finding parking is a pain especially during their busy times. I would like to stress again, Parking is limited, so you might want to come at a less busy time or order ahead and just come pick up. To make an order, you might have to call multiple times for the phone to get answered. The food is great. I prefer coming here than other seafood places around. It has a laid back atmosphere.

The seafood here is decent. The oysters are medium-sized, and the French fries are fried to perfection, making them wonderfully crispy.

This is a relaxed sports bar with TVs and high-top tables. The food was quite tasty, including raw and chargrilled oysters, fish and chips, and fried shrimp. They also serve cold beer and tequila shots. I enjoyed my meal and left feeling satisfied.

The food is fresh and expertly prepared. The staff is consistently friendly and well-informed about the dishes they offer. This is my go-to place when I want to relax on my own. The restaurant accommodates a variety of tastes with both raw and cooked options. Be sure to visit one of Durham's hidden gems!
