The only positive thing I have to say is this hotel was close to the fields. The front desk staff was extremely rude! We asked for the garbage to be emptied when we were sitting out on the patio and were give garbage bags so we could do it. We asked if housekeeping could come to our room to empty garbage and replace towels and were told just empty them ourselves and place it in the hall. It was a HUGE chore to get extra towels. We had a lightbulb that was flickering in the room and the staff handed us a lightbulb so we could change it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! When in the lobby we had the lights turned off on us and extremely rude staff tell us it was our bedtime. It was 9:50pm on a Friday night. Give me a break! Our organization booked 13 rooms through this hotel, and I would never stay here again. I am beyond disappointed and will never recommend this hotel for the tournament we play here every year.
This was the quietest hotel we have stayed in! Very clean,, too. The pool and hot tub were lovely. Nice staff, decent breakfast.Rooms: Big rooms. Clean and comfortable.
Front desk employees were friendly. Room was a good size, set up well.We got the room, changed and went straight to the pool. Pool is very, very small. Max capacity 20. Vents dirty, lots of rusty doors and fixtures. The pool and hot tub itself seemed clean, good temperature. We enjoyed our time there. We went back to the room to change and went out for the fireworks.Got back around 11pm and noticed a large reddish pink stain between the beds on the carpet. It felt dry. Noticed a bunch of little ants on the nightstand and bathroom. I looked around for food ir crumbs, couldn't see any. Just kept squishing and flushing them. Woke up in the morning with them on my arm closest to the nightstand. Gave me the creeps. Also stomped on a large spider in the area where the couch is. No good, we aren't on the main level, no trees outside the window, although the screen was ripped too...Probably will not go back, not a fan of the ants crawling in me. I did tell them when I checked out, they didn't say a whole lot but did shudder.
We chose this hotel for the location close to lots of dining, Minnesota Zoo and the outlet mall. We also chose this hotel because we prefer staying a certain Marriott hotels. Although service was nice and the lobby looked as I'd expect the room did not. Our room had a very plain bathroom that didn't look anything like Springhill Suites bathrooms except it had the white tile in the shower. The tub wasn't very clean and it smelled weird in the room. Air conditioner was the old fashioned unit under the window. It worked but not well, our room was humid and not as cool as we'd like. The bed, bedding and pillows were awful, the mattress was so hard but the pillows were very squishy. The TV wouldn't turn all the way to the bedroom without having to move the stand. Breakfast eggs weren't right, dry and not properly mixed up even though they were fresh. Special Breakfast sandwiches were hard to come by as the breakfast was packed and they only put out 3 at a time. I scored 1 our last day and it wasn't properly heated. The egg was ice cold. The pool was pretty small but nice, hot tub was just warm. Patio was nice. Front desk staff was nice. Laundry was expensive to do but I was out of clean clothes. $3 each for the only washer and dryer and tide was $2.50 or $3. The washer takes 57 minutes for color cycle, dryer only option is 72 minutes. Unfortunately when I went all the way down to Laundry room someone had just put a load in so all in all it took almost 3 hours to do 1 load of laundry. If this was my experience at a Super 8 or a Days Inn I wouldn't be surprised. I expect much more from a Springhill Suites.Rooms: Not as nice as a Springhill suites should be.Walkability: Only walkable to Chili's and Wendy's
