Mike's Bbq - Eagle Lake

The Eagle Lake, TX location has closed, but a new one has opened in Columbus, TX. They serve great barbecue when they're open, although they are closed on weekends!

Mike Gonzales' dream of opening a BBQ restaurant is currently on hold. He has sold his smoker and the renovations have been put on hold by the landlord.

I ordered the ribs and sausage plate. The meat was flavorful, but could use a bit more seasoning. Overall, it’s a solid choice. The owner has an impressive background in the BBQ scene, having won several cook-offs, so I had high expectations. While it was good, it didn’t quite reach the level of excellence I was hoping for.
