The bread pakoras, samosas, and Paneer pakodas were all mouthwatering. Some diners have noted that the chhole had a bit of a kick to it, which is true. However, it doesn't detract from the overall taste. The only improvement could perhaps be made in the seating arrangements. We moved from an uncomfortable spot near the door to a better seat named "Ravi." It's interesting to note that the seats are named after rivers. In general, it's a wonderful place to indulge in top-notch food.
Our dining experience at Apna Pind restaurant was exceptional. We visited with a large family and were greeted warmly by the staff. This was our first time dining at Apna Pind and we were impressed by the delicious flavors of all the dishes we tried. The pani puri and potato-filled chole kulche were particularly outstanding. The only disappointment was the jelabi, which lost its crispiness and became soggy after a few minutes. However, everything else was fantastic, especially the gulab jamun that my kids loved, coated with black coconut. I highly recommend Apna Pind for its great service and tasty food. This was my 4th visit and the food has been amazing every time.
If you're in the area, you should definitely stop by and try the food at this restaurant. I visited four years ago and had the Kulcha thali, which was delicious. Today, I tried the masala chaap with naan, tandoori roti, and sweet lassi. The masala chaap was bursting with flavor, and the gravy had bold spices with a medium level of spice. The tandoori roti wasn't exactly what I expected, but it was soft and tasty. Overall, we had a satisfying meal and will definitely return. They also have a live jalebi station where you can get freshly made jalebis, which are even better than some overhyped places in the area.
If you are looking for a 5-star service, this isn't the place, although the service is great, but if you are looking for good clean Punjabi food that comes close to home, this is the place. We will come again and recommend this for purr vegetarians and vegan food.
It's a very nice place for authentic vegetarian Punjabi food, I must say that the food was delicious and well worth it. Service is standard and the presentation of the restaurant is also typical for this type of quick service Indian restaurant. Parking: Busy main street and side streets. Parking can be difficult to find and if available it's paid street parking. Service: Dine in
