The Golden Empire - Ealing

We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant in London on Christmas Eve night. The Chinese food here is exceptional and the roast duck fried rice was delicious. The beef and shrimp chowmein we tried was also very flavorful. This is definitely the best Chinese food we have had in London.

I went to this restaurant tonight to get some takeout and I have been running to the restroom every 10 minutes since. Additionally, the person who took my order had a very negative and borderline rude attitude. Overall, this place is just bad and I would not recommend it.

The food was excellent with generous portions and very affordable prices. The service was top-notch and I highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Visited with 2 friends after seeing the intriguing concept of Chinese AND Polish cuisine. On entry, big letdown was the waitress not offering anything from the Polish menu. She only reluctantly produced it later after we’d ordered from the Chinese and Thai !!?? menu. What a missed opportunity to showcase something different!! The food itself was quite good, nothing offensive and the pad thai tasted much better than it looked. Probably will never visit again which is a shame for them as I’d have brought at least a dozen curios friends with me we’ve seen this place for several years and always wondered about it . That’s life. Plenty of other places to visit so can’t recommend if you’re looking for something a bit different.

Despite other negative reviewers I had a wonderful time at this little cosy restaurant. Service was very good. Food yummy and reasonable. Will be back again!
