Indian Ocean - East Devon

This takeaway restaurant is amazing. The food is always delicious, hot, and not too greasy. It is consistently good. The delivery drivers are also great.

I recently ordered food from Indian Ocean take away in Exmouth.The food arrived on time and was on the surface ok and tasted reasonable . Unfortunately I decided to check the food standard rating after which I was mortified to see was only 2!!! This is extremely low and very worrying. The rating was from a check in October 23 so current!! The low rating refers to cleanliness, pest control etc and I really wish I'd checked before ordering as it's true to say I wouldn't have. I never will again!! I'm just sorry I've eaten the food without knowing environment it was made in. Always check food standards rating so you know what you're eating and the environment it from. Not surprising the standards rating is not displayed on the window as is usual.

We live in Budleigh and have used this takeaway for years; it is consistently amazing! Having had curries in Bristol and Surrey over the decades, this is the best ever! The quality of the dishes (prawn purée, dhansak, saag etc) is incredible. Service is great too. So lucky to have this fabulous takeaway on the doorstep!

Absolutely recommend the Indian ocean Exmouth. Food is incredible full off authentic spices taste. The portions are crammed to bursting in the containers most of all the guys in there are very kind courteous nothing is too much trouble! It was my first time visiting I will most definitely be going back!

Delicious takeaway delivered to the entrance of Devon Cliffs by a friendly delivery man. Generous portions and really tasty food. We love Indian food and this is one of the nicest we’ve had for a while. Would recommend!
