E-Sense on Hay Street - East Perth

Great lunch spot if your in the area located down the waca end of east perth always cater for my vegan needs and so accommodating which is a rarity now days. Lots of fresh options salads and raw balls are bliss. I cannot echo enough how good the Green Smoothie is and no added dairy :)  Bright and friendly atmosphere!

The food is reasonable for a small cafe but the prices are absolute extortion. $10 for a takeaway bagel just can't be justified. Staff are friendly enough but sometimes seem more concerned with socialising than actually serving. Can be very frustrating.

Food was ok, coffee was good, service not so good. Hopefully they can learn to smile a bit more because everything else is good.Will go back for another try hopefully just having a bad day. Just went back since they have re opened, the food was just ok, service was better but now the coffee is yuck, no more tries for us.....

I hadn't been here for a while, as they are kind of expensive and their service isn't great.  However my most recent visit where I stopped in to pick up lunch was about the worst service I have ever experienced.  One staff member got my order and then left it at the cash register for the other staff member to ring up.   The staff member at the register then continued to gossip with the customer before me, while I waited.  And waited.  And waited.  All the other staff had disappeared.   Five minutes later, she finally decided to finish up and ring up my order.    If I hadn't been short of time, I would have gone elsewhere.    The service here is so atrocious, I don't know how they are  still in business.   I'll take my business elsewhere instead of being treated so rudely.    I kinda wish this place would go broke and a decent cafe open in its place.

Quite like the seating outside. Went in to get a coffee. Super watery coffee...coffee stains on the table ...staff there are lovely but... I'm tempted to give their breakfast/brunch items a go, just so that this review is more comprehensive.
