As soon as we walked into the café, we were warmly welcomed by a friendly waitress and shown to our table. The food and service were exceptional. The bubble and squeak dish was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Lunch date with a friend somewhere different. First time at Lucy's Coffee shop today. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Lots of seating, plenty of menu choices. We opted for the daily special and a coffee. Whilst ordering we spotted the cakes and we are so glad we did! The lemon and blueberry cake was delicious. We will definitely be back.
I popped in here whilst having time to kill. I had to check I was in the right place having read the last couple of reviews. I couldn’t have been greeted and served in a more welcoming and friendly manner. The same reaction from all the three ladies who interacted with me. Service with a smile. I like to think I know my scones and this one was an exceptionally good scone. I also appreciate the price of an exceptionally good scone; ironically I found it very reasonable. I could quite happily have sampled any one of the cakes there looks like someone sure knows how to either bake or source quality baking. Either it’s completely new staff there, they have learned from recent feedback or people need to appreciate the cost of things, the size of a normal portion and that perhaps their own attitude needs an honest review. All in all, time very well spent.
First time here for a while and it used to be better. I think nearly £17 for a flat white coffee, lighter bite Quiche with around 8 chips added for an extra £2, and I thin slice of cake is expensive compared to similar places. The toilets could do with a spruce up too
