Strathmore Bagel - East Setauket

I used to go here with my husband all the time. Unfortunately I live further away so it’s a bit of a trip. But I’ll never forget the friendliness of the owner she was always so nice and so easy to talk to. Not to mention the bagels are the best. She used to put out a little container for doggy bagels that you can take for your dog to eat as well.

The owner is 75...her name is Julie and she has been at this location for 32 years. I agree that it is run down and old, but IMO that falls to the landlord. Shame on them for allowing the place to age and never be updated. The bagels are fresh and fantastic. I will be taking 3 dozen with me to N.H. just so people can experience the deliciousness!!
