It was very disappointed as I wanted to show my friends how nice the deco was and how nice the food is. It would be great if there was a notice so I didn't have to travel all the way from Freo just to be disappointed.
What we had the the other day: * We asked for waffle but they didnt have it for some reason, so we had to go with French Toast with Fried Chicken & Chips. * French Toast with Pork Chop, Fried Chicken & Chips. * Strawberry Smoothie with Fairy Floss. I liked their asian style French Toast, thick and nicely cooked. Fried Chicken cooked well, crunchy skin and juicy, just a bit oily. Pork Chop was ok. Strawberry Smoothie was really nice and super cold hence the ice cream on top didnt melt quickly and lasted a while, wow. What I didnt like from this place: * Waitresses weren't friendly and attentive enough. * We're the first customer to arrive. There was no other customers than us until we're about to leave, about an hour later. However it took them about half an hour to prepare our meals. So I finally get to try SBT. Food wise was alright but service & cooking time definitely need improvements.
Bun was cold and did not look as advertised. The bun was not a brioche as advertised and was a regular coles burger bun and also the lork was smothered in bbq sauce which was a mess. Decent chips though
Went there for the first time tonight for a quick dinner. Overall taste of the food was pretty good. I ordered the pork chop set and my sis ordered the 3 cup chicken rice. Both tasted really flavourful. I loved the fried chicken that was included in my set, the french toast though was a bit dense and tough to bite into. My sis loved her meal too. Besides that we tried the banana and berry smoothie which was really good. The mango smoothie though tasted more artificial. Overall good food.
Enjoyed the bright, friendly atmosphere. My child enjoyed playing on the colourful fiberglass animals in the kids corner. We liked the menu options, that it is kind of Asian-style meets American diner. Husband had the chicken and waffles with crispy chips, while I had fried chicken with French toast, scrambled egg and bacon. We also tried one of the candy floss drinks. The candy floss topping is massive! We were surprised the waffles came out crisp, but our child loved them. The fried chicken is delicious, reminiscent of karaage chicken in flavour and texture. Great place for a family meal. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when our child knocked over a drink and made a huge mess. They didn't make a big deal about it, which was so good of them.
