We enjoyed the 4 small plates of trio of dips (generous helping of homemade Turkish bread), arancini balls, chorizo croquettes and pork belly. These were followed by a scotch fillet main and seasoned greens side dish. The $49 per person charge was little different from the cost of individually selecting the dishes after allowing for the downsizing of the small plates from 3 to 2 servings. The 6 plates were more than sufficient for the 2 of us and there was no room for dessert. The quality of the food was very good and the service was efficient and friendly.
We went to The Mill based on reviews on Trip Advisor and we were quite disappointed. Whilst the décor and overall ambience of the restaurant is lovely, the meals were just ok. Service was good, although I think the waitresses could dress a little more professionally than leggings and a T-shirt, not that this is their fault.
Good ambience. Good food. Good cocktails. Good service, what more could you want. Although the menu is limited, there seems to be something for everyone. Skye was attentive and friendly, backed by young Sasha with friendly service.
The Mill has been my favourite venue in town for years. I recently dined (twice) in this venue and was so impressed I had to write another review! The food was absolutely exquisite- star attractions included the pork belly and scallops. The pork belly was flavoursome, tender and had that classic crunch everyone loves. We had the 'chefs for this' which nailed the quality and quantity factors- do yourself a favour and add dessert. The kitchen also went over and above to cater for our special dietary requests, which was great, something small that goes a long way for customer service! Wines were great, service was friendly and prompt. All in all, it was a really great experience.
Had a wonderful feed at The Mill on Friday night. We chose the 8 course degustation banquet, and every dish was delicious and very fresh and seasonal. The waitresses were extremely friendly and helpful, and allowed us to customise our menu to our liking. The only part of the menu that lowered the high standard of food, and I mentioned this to the waitress at the end of the night, were the fries served alongside the wagyu beef dish. It just seemed a little bit boring and mainstream in contrast to the high quality of food we'd received in the previous dishes. I'd recommend they opt for a house made potato dish in future, to maintain the level of food on offer. Overall, a wonderful experience at The Mill. We'd been to both Ceres and Radcliff's restaurants in the town and this place far exceeded them both. We'd definitely return.
