Sadly the photos on here of delicious looking chunky chips lured me in to be sadly disappointed by an uninspiring burger served with generic skinny fries on a plastic tray, for the extortionate price of £14.50. It also arrived alarming quickly, about 60 seconds after my hot chocolate, meaning that went cold whilst I ate my meal.
Excellent lunch on a very wet and blustery day in between walks in the area. We were dodging the showers and my visiting American clients loved their steak pie and Welsh Rarebit!
We stopped by for breakfast after checking out of our vacation rental. The cafe offered simple but high-quality food, including a full English breakfast or a choice of other combinations. Surprisingly, we were the only customers at 10:30 am, making for a peaceful dining experience. The coffee was delicious and there was tasteful background music playing, including some unexpected tracks like Little Feat. The staff was efficient, and the restrooms were clean and well-maintained.
We stopped here for lunch whilst on a cycle trip around the lakes. The service was great as was the food. We had the fish finger butty, spiced lentil soup and coffee/ Walnut cake. Perfect. Thank you.
