Lovely dog friendly cafe tucked away up an alley. A good menu offering more than standard traditional meals. Local people were eating there which is always a good sign. Staff were friendly and the prices were very reasonable. A great find.
Fantastic coronation chicken sandwich for lunch with very friendly service it was reasonably priced too!
Perfect lunch. Don’t be afraid to follow the sign up the narrowing ginnel from the town centre, this is a gem. Lovely staff, lovely food, perfect menu. We had bacon butternut soup (with warm roll and butter), a small breakfast, latte and pot of tea for £16. Spoilt for choice and cake display looked delicious too. Would definitely visit again. Every table was occupied even on a Thursday lunchtime in January, so bet it’s busy in summer. Only one toilet, through narrow doorway, but clean.
Second visit to this wee tearoom this year on our trips from Scotland to Plymouth. Great value for money. Honest home cooked food with lots of safe gluten free options for me as I have coeliac disease. I bought two gluten free home made mince pies to take on the next stage of our trip and they were fantastic! Well worth the detour off the motorway. Really nice staff and a great atmosphere. It’s obvious a lot of their customers are locals which is a great sign. Not the easiest place to find. Up a narrow wee lane or easier if you park in the Bluebell Lane public car park.
