Unsure of what to expect with our choices of pulled pork and fish fingers, we were pleasantly surprised by what arrived at our table. My friend admitted that he had never tried a fish finger sandwich before, highlighting his sheltered upbringing. The sandwiches were both delicious, with my pulled pork sandwich being perfectly cooked with just the right balance of salty and sweet flavors. The fish in Jonathan's sandwich was fresh and tasty. Overall, we were very satisfied with our meal.
My friend and I visited the Bier Kitchen for dinner on a Friday evening. Thankfully, we were able to secure a table despite the restaurant being busy. Most patrons seemed to be there for post-work drinks, but there were also many people enjoying a meal. True to its name, the Bier Kitchen has an extensive beer selection, so I opted for a beer while my friend chose a different beer. We decided to share the haggis donut as an appetizer, and I selected the fish and chips for my main course, while my friend went with the lamb shank after some deliberation. We were delighted to be invited to a fantastic event at this restaurant, and I couldn't wait to come back. This time, we tried the seasonal beer flights, allowing me to introduce my friend to the delicious rum finish and wheat beer options. We also enjoyed some yam nibbles, which we had tried before and knew were good. My friend particularly loved the rare oak pale ale. This place is probably the best bar in Edinburgh, especially for fans of Innis and Gunn beer!
I was already in the beer kitchen a few times, although my favorite visit was the start event. they serve a great selection of beers, but those like me that are not disturbed by beer, there are also cocktails and soft drinks. we tried a few burgers as well as a whole series of Zaren sizes from the start event) and they were delicious and hearty. the bier kitchen has a great atmosphere, live music sessions and cool decoration also. a great place to hang out and win if you want to organize a work event that suits a lot of flavors.
Finally we managed to get ourselves along to The Beer Kitchen on Lothian Road. After reading and hearing about others visits we thought we would sneak in for some food after we had visited foodies Christmas market. For those of you who don’t know, The Beer Kitchen is the first offering from Innis Gunn. Their beers are now available around the world. The Beer Kitchen has been open since before the festival but it was only now we were heading along.
