I think giving The Cosmopolitan only two stars is a bit harsh, but I can understand where they're coming from. The food was delicious, but I couldn't help but wonder where the alcohol was.

Four of us dined on a Sunday evening and left satisfied on the whole.

Afternoon tea is a bit of a british insitution and a lovely wee treat for a girls get together at the weekend.

Lunch here today (saturday afternoon). the place was empty so we had our selection of tables and the staff was very attentive. three of us all had sandwiches with suppe or chips. all enjoyed our meals and the price was very reasonable.

It took a while until the waiter showed up, and as we ordered suppee and sandwiches, we expected a 10/15min wait. After 40 minutes I asked the bar staff if there was a problem with the order. she was very pleasant and recommended she would hunt after order. another 10 minutes later a passable suppe and sandwich appeared without an excuse or a discount or even a free cup of tea. very disappointed.
