I tried this restaurant after being surprised there was a restaurant in edmonton that was solely in the bao business. It didn't take too long for us to get seated. We ordered the steamed xiao long bao, pan fried xiao long bao and the beef noodle soup. The flavors were okay but the filling for the dumplings didn't overly excite me (tasted bland). The beef noodle soup didn't have as much flavor as I expected. Food is somewhat average. Prices seemed fair.
I came here twice when I was in the city. Best noodle soup in Edmonton that I’ve had in a while. Server is a little slow and expect a line up and slow service. It’s worth the wait though. I will come
Visit: July 2023Always love the soup dumplings here. The traditional pan fried baod are always big, crispy, but really hot so be careful! The XLB are good as well, but won't fill you up too much. Also got the seasonal cold noodles with chicken. I was hoping for a different type of Noodle, but it was not bad regardless. Lots of Szechuan peppers in it.Also got the new tom yum traditional Bao, and wow did if pack a strong tom yum taste. Highly recommend if you like that flavourOverall, great place! But I do find they run out of baos pretty early on, so you need to go early for it
Stopped in today specifically for soup dumplings and cucumber salad. The food was very good. We also had the pan fried dumplings and shrimp bao. Everything was good and we will definitely be back!
