Unfortunately, it was burnt and hard, quite unimpressive, and we had to dip it in the shrimp garlic sauce just to eat it. For our main courses, we ordered a hamburger meal, a shrimp po' boy, the shrimpers haven meal, and a chicken finger meal for our two-year-old. Minutes after finishing our appetizers, the hamburger arrived, but nothing else followed. We asked for the kids' meal to be served since it’s awkward to eat in front of a child. Unfortunately, the rest of the food took a long time to arrive. At this point, my friend approached the manager, who found it amusing when asked about the delay, replying, "we're busy," despite there being plenty of open tables and staff standing around. By the time the rest of our meals arrived, our friend opted not to eat his burger. Additionally, the macaroni and cheese we added to the kids' meal was missing at first and came out five minutes later, only to be overcooked Kraft Dinner. We ultimately sent back the burger and the mac and cheese; they did remove it from the bill, but the entire experience was disappointing. While the shrimp we had was tasty, the overall atmosphere and service were a letdown. We encountered three different servers, none of whom introduced themselves or informed us they'd be taking care of us. As first-timers, we were also unaware of the significance of the license plates on the table (red means "stop"). Overall, it was not a good experience.
Unfortunately, the food did not meet my expectations. The Shrimp Po' Boy was quite dry and had an excess of bread, and the same issue applied to the fish and chips. If you're in search of seafood, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. However, they do have a store with some interesting items worth checking out. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and attentive, ensuring we were well taken care of, and the service was quick.
I wasn't expecting a lot when I first walked in, the decor made me think they're completely relying on people coming in for the movie nostalgia and didn't expect much of the food. I was completely wrong. We ordered shrimp, salmon and steak, everything wasdelicious and cooked perfectly, the drinks were all great and we even got some commemorative cups haha, that's where they getyou with the movie nostalgia. The wait staff and bartender are amazing and very personable, I recommend going there just forthem.
The food was excellent, but the menu was quite limited, and many dishes felt very similar, just with slight variations, which cost them a star in my opinion. On the bright side, the signage was fantastic! It was a great way to let the staff know if we needed assistance. Unfortunately, I have to deduct another star because I was with a friend who uses a cane and has difficulty standing for long periods. We were informed there was a waitlist for a table, which was fine; we simply asked if we could sit at an empty table until ours was ready, but we were told no. There were plenty of available seats. We weren't looking for service since we understood the waitlist; we just needed a place for my friend to sit. Eventually, they allowed us to wait at the bar, but I found that to be quite unprofessional and rude, especially since it was evident she was struggling to stand!
Been wanting to try this place since it opened and finally found the time and perfect company. It's location is below the theater, nice a quite. From the outside the restaurant looks small but once they started walking us back, it's quite largeinside. They offer tables for small and large groups. The tables are nice, the walls are covered with tons of items related tothe movie. There's two license plates on the table that help the servers know if you need any help with anything. There's a hotsauce on the table, it's a Mexican type sauce, to stay better on theme totally thought they'd have used a Louisiana HotSauce. Meals arrive pretty quickly, though it wasn't busy at all either. Tried a cup of their Clam Chowder, nothing specialabout it; nor would I order it again. Decided on their Forest’s Seafood Feast whereas my best friend decided on their ShimpersHeaven. The shrimp was nicely breaded and seasoned. They weren’t dripping with grease either. The fish was perfect as well, lightly seasoned and I love that they came in strips. My meal came with Cocktail Sauce, Tartar Sauce and a small Coleslaw. MYfriend love all the shrimp and his came with Cocktail Sauce, Gravy and Honey Mustard Sauce. All was served on some homemadeseasoned fries. Now the fries were seasoned with cayenne pepper and it was delicious. But for parents with picky kids, make sureyou ask for fries with no seasoning. Was fun reading all the signs and watching people go by. Happy to return.
