Discovery Cafe - Edmonton

The jerk chicken I had for lunch at this restaurant really impressed me.

The food is fresh, the lunch service is quick, and the prices are good. It's not a fancy place, but the homemade food at Discovery Cafe is far better than the greasy, generic options elsewhere. While some of the staff could be more friendly, it's understandable given the busy lunch rush. Stop by and give their food a try - it's pretty good.

This is a food-court establishment unlike any other in Edmonton. They advertise themselves as serving "homemade healthy food," and they certainly live up to their reputation!It's run by a mother and son from Barbados, so much of the food is Caribbean in origin, and the place, located in Westmount Shopping Centre, stands out among all the other fast-food fried-food places flanking it that a lot of people patronize.There are dishes such as lasagna and shepherd's pie, but it's best to order the jerk chicken and the curried chicken dishes. (They grind the spices themselves.) Portions are satisfying, and the tender pieces of chicken come with a mound of rice and a green salad.This place is #1 among all the food-court eateries in the city!

I was in edmonton on business and happen to stop by westmount mall at the Discovery cafe for lunch i must say best jerk chicken i have ever tasted .I also tried the caribbean curry chicken it was so good, next time i'm back in edmonton that's my place to eat.
