El Rancho El Salvadorian &Mexican Cuisine

No matter what you choose off the menu it is amazing. We lived a few blocks away and would hit this place up when we were in need of food. It is notoriously not open most times we went by. But when it is open we enjoy eating in. By far my most favourite Central American restaurant ever.

Decided to try this restaurant for lunch . . . and it was very good! Shared - appetizer, empanadas, pupusoas, flautas and also had the tortilla soup. Everything was very tasty and arrived hot! Our server was very pleasant and helpful in assisting with our menu selections.

I have an allergic reaction to cilantro and though the majority of dishes in this restaurant have this herb in it, our waitress went out of her way to check with the chef as to which, if any dishes, did not have any. The pleasant surprise was a wonderful luncheon of Chorizo sausage, fried chicken wings slightly spiced (superb), rice and refried beans( my favourite combination). A meal I would recommend to anyone who, like me, does not like cilantro (ugh). We will certainly return again, this time for Carne Asada!

This restaurant was recommended by a friend and it was truly a great lunch. she had the Papusas and I had the beef tacos. Everything was flavourful and very reasonably priced. Service is slow like others have commented, but if you are with good company it doesn't matter. I will definitely return and bring more friends to enjoy the great food.

I went here with a few colleagues tonight and loved it. Everything was very fresh and the service was great. Drink selection was somewhat poor but not enough to mark them down as the food was so good.
