When in your own hometown, you know where to find the best food and service, but when traveling - especially alone - it can be hit or miss.
I am typically fair and reasonable when it comes to writing reviews, but I must admit that I was disappointed with this particular restaurant.
Decided to try this place after sampling their food at Porkapalooza. And glad we did!The beef brisket melts in your mouth and the pulled pork sandwiches are HUGE. I chose cornbread and coleslaw as my sides. Fried chicken was crispy and moist. The place is pretty small and is super busy at lunch time. But it's an excellent spot for BBQ in this cold wasteland. Two thumbs up!
I had the pulled pork plate with macaroni and cheese, slaw, and potato salad as my side. The flavour of the meat is to die for. Just absolutely my favorite! I was disappointed they were out of corn bread, but I forgive them. Hope to get cornbread next time! Service there is always warm and friendly. Love this place!!
