The food is very, very freshThe interior is very spacious and niceThe prices are very reasonableI would highly recommend this place.
I had the chicken shawarma here and it was the worst shawarma I've ever had.
The place is a little run down, and the owner seems a little surly, but the King has some of the best pho in Edmonton. the broth is rich and sticky with gelatin--it's the real deal, not like the thin bouillon-cube water you get at so many other places in town.
The infamous mustache man and his hearty bowl of pho has been favored by many foodies around the city, grabbing wind and light thanks to the owner's daughter @Lindork. Any and every foodie in the city is well accustomed to the hole in the wall joint down in Chinatown. <br/ Running from Wednesday to Sunday from 11am 730pm, being also a cash only establishment, it’s taken me awhile to bring myself over to try their picturesque bowls myself. <br/ <br/ Spring Rolls $3.95) Came with 3pcs. Straight out of the deep fryer, these crispy little bites of goodness are my kryptonite. Not as good as home but just about on par!<br/ Pho Dac Biet $10.50) Well, this was yummy. The broth is actually really good, like clean/pure good. No MSG mess but had a strong flavor all around. The herb plate came with the typical beansprouts and basil leaves but also had hot mint too! Which is a first I’ve seen at a restaurant setting. <br/ <br/ Prices and portions were fair, I was expecting more taste wise considering the hype; overall average. Won’t be in dire need to come here to satisfy the pho cravings though.
