La Bodeguita De Cuba - Edmonton

My husband and I just paid a visit and it was spectacular. I felt like I'd walked back to an aunt's house in Miami and I'd be happy there. Unlike in most other restaurants, I did not feel rushed or annoyed, not even when a MASSIVE group arrived without reservation and the sudden need for staff to share their attention among the smaller tables and this 15 group of people. Other guests, please note: This place is great, but the restaurant is on the smaller side. Since there is no chain restaurant with tons of table, please note and call ahead to warn them that you will visit with a lot of people. In this way, they can prepare to devote a lot of attention to a single group. My husband and I felt not neglected because of the group, but knowing the industry, I'm sure the staff will go home pretty exhausted today. As it is, the food tasted great, was just really seasoned, and the desserts were decadent without overwhelming. The amount of food definitely justifies the price. For authentic Cuban food go here!

Great food, clean restaurant and friendly helpful staff. I had the Habanera and it was great. I have to go back to try the Cuban sandwich.

Fantastic food, cozy atmosphere. Restaurant is a little bright for an evening meal, so e mood lighting would make it just perfect.

Amazing food. This is nothing like the mediocre food you get in some Cuban resorts. The Ropa Vieja (pulled beef served with rice and sweet plantain) was delicious. Staff super friendly. Quick service. And good mojitos obviously...
