We decided to place an order for takeout and ordered the half order of mixed grill, fattouch and mezza plate. Flavourful and delicious. Definitely won't be our last visit. Can't wait to bring the kids back and share the family platter. They'll be especially happy to see there's a play place they can check out while we wait. The manager brought us our food and introduced himself. Very kind and prices were very fair!! Gets my approval!
New place in our neck of woods, love Lebanese/Mediterranean cuisine. Big, modern décor, large waterfall. Get seated, look over menu, go up to counter to order and pay.It looks like fine dining on the inside but the ordering at the counter kills that. Had a fig drink special and way too much sugar added (straight syrup), could not even sip more than two sips, had to return, even the "fresh squeezed" OJ was too much sweetness and not fresh, in some ways worse than regular pop.Had eggplant dip (Moutabbal), hummus with beef, shared mini grill platter. Overall it was good not fabulous and I think they meant it to be, the owners were walking around to make sure servers were doing their jobsIt is interesting they serve breakfast and we may go back to try it but I'd rather go south on 127 Street and 137 Ave to the Kebab House to get the same dishes with lots more flavor and freshness next time we have a craving for the same cost.
I have been telling everyone about this restaurant since i ate here. The restaurant itself is beautiful decor i can appreciate all the work that went into opening this place. The food was very good, my chicken and beef was great with fresh orange juice yummm - top it off with picking a special sweet for desert was excellent.
Paramount is a Franchise restaurant out of Ontario. When they first opened the service was second to none. Service is still good , food is great eventhough the head chef quit. Fresh hot pita bread is served.Great traditional Lebanese food.Drawback is you must pay before you eat including tipping. Makes you think twice of how nuch you should tip jot being ware of your future service. I also visited the paramount in Mississauga and was quite a bit better. Being from Edmonton I rate this restaurant 3rd best for Lebanese food behind Kabab house #1 and Sahara #2
A friend of mine went for dinner here on a Wednesday evening, we thought we would try something different.I will start by saying that the serving staff were very friendly. We ordered our food, and a few minutes later the young man came up to me and reported that he accidentally had over charged us, and refunded me. This was very honest and well appreciated. When we got our food, my friend had pulled out 2 pieces of hair from her rice. We reported this to our server and he said that he would get her another plate. In the meantime we sat, and chatted. The cook came out and asked us about the hair and explained that the kitchen is clean and that people wear hair nets . We smiled politely, and said that is good. He said he could not understand where the hair could have come from, and said that 2 months ago they had a similar incident and can't figure out why. He then apologized for the inconvenience. At this point, we just wanted to eat and get out of there. Then, the owner came up to us and also apologized for the hair, he explained that he is a dentist, not sure what that had to do with anything, and that the kitchen is clean and that we should believe him. We reiterated that it was fine. He also went on to say that they had a similar incident 2 months ago, and then he actually asked where the hair was and what it looked like... we were both loosing our appetites at this point. He said then that oh it must have come from the bag of rice... we smiled again politely , just wanting to finish our meals. Then they sent over a large fruit drink for us each, which was thoughtful , but I am allergic to strawberries and was not able to drink it. The thought was great, but we would have much rather been refunded for the meal, or even more not to be interrogated the 2nd time by the owner/dentist.Anyways , over all the food was ok, but I don't think we would return.
