I'd order more Roti for more people. It was delicious, it was... all hot and tasty the cured chicken was a little spicy than I usually, but I like that. I would call it medium plus sharp, the roti was perfect and rice was light and not sticky. It came with a few pieces of a crispy thin bread they were not to my taste, but all I ordered and expected was great.
We just ordered food from there for picking up for our family portions are so small I ordered a butter chicken poutine and there was hardly any food in my container! The pizza was bland! I'm sorry, but they need to fix that I put a picture on the bottom to show you where the cheese had started and how little the part is actually not worth it for $13!
I never write reviews, but I feel the need to warn others. We were very excited to try this restaurant after reading all the great reviews. Feel confused now and wonder if the staff here are reviewing as I am the reviews... do not reflect the quality you would expect from a restaurant. The first thing you notice when eating butter chicken is that tastes almost exactly like a cheap can of cream of tomato soup. If your a fan of cheap can soup then fine, but to pay almost $20 per person (so $40) rice, naan bread pakoras so almost $70 for an entry that tastes like $1.99 can soup? Which restaurant uses cheap canned soup as a basis for their dishes? Again we were very excited to try this place, but not try again.
Five of us went to Saffron for dinner. We were very disappointed with the service and the food. The starters, Murg malai tikka, lamb looking for Kebab, Pander pakora, Masala and posters were all good, but the nets were not. The chicken bryani was not like any Biryani I've ever seen. The chicken of butter was again not a chicken of butter I've ever seen. The chicken pieces seemed like they were from the supermarket chicken meat. The lamb in the lamb masala was extremely hard. The shrimps in Jhinga masala were raw and still had the shells on the tails. The saffron was fine and the only good was the naanbrot. I doubt if we will ever return.
We ordered some food but was a mistake, We were in banff and ordered in Edmonton Saffron, We are greatly appreciate owner customer service. We offered to pay for food but he said that’s totally fine. Thank you
