Syphay Restaurant - Edmonton

Excellent food quality, taste was outstandingThere are only a few notably good Thai places in Edmonton, this one gets the nod.

We were starving after squash so we headed to grab a late bite Thursday evening.

While the neighbourhood may look sketchy af, the restaurant is delicious! The food is so, so goodLike crazy yum.

Four of us went to Syphay for lunch,a month ago. We ordered 4 dishes . First dish ,Tohm Yum a hot and sour soup , very good but the portions were small.Second dish,Pad Thai with rice noodles, very large portions and delicious. Next dish,Pineapple Curry with shrimps and an order of plain rice, very small dish, good taste though. Lastly Pad Slew with beef a fare portion and very tasty. thick rice noodles. We like the decor of this restaurant and the service was slow with only one person as the only waitress. all in all a good experience good food and perhaps the service could be better.

Excellent Thai food. The area is sketchy and they definitely need updates but the food is PHENOMENAL! It's one of our favourite restaurants in Edmonton. We love spice so if you don't I would suggest making sure you specify you want mild or no spice at all.
