Decided to go here for my birthday this yearI've only ever been to the west location beforeI was pleasantly surprised by this place.
We have been here a few times before when we visited Edmonton and never been disappointed, this time was no exception. There were six of us and yes it was a quiet night but the service was faultless. They bring you water and warm bread to start with. Plenty of beer and wine selection, I had a glass of the house wine which was lovely. The steaks here are fantastic, if you like it rare or medium rare they do a prime rib which they slice when you order, the baseball streak is also a favourite or just a sirloin. There are different sizes which helps. They also do surf and turf with lobster. They do serve other foods along with salmon which is a popular choice. They do garlic mash which is a nice change from fries. Well worth a visit.
This is our favorite Keg. The ambience is always cozy. The service was excellent! Prompt, friendly and yet unobtrusive. The meals this time however were not up to their usual standard. The prime rib was huge and cooked to perfection, however was not very tender or tasty. The steak oscar was again cooked perfect, but was quite tough and stringy.
One of the things we like about the Keg is that it is consistent. The staff friendly (Thank you Brianne), the food hot and tasty and the atmosphere very pleasant. It was one of those evenings when I wanted a steak and they did it to perfection.
