Woody's Bbq - Edmonton

Had one of the worst experiences ever. Food was alright and the waitress was pleasant. But when it came to the bill, and wanted to use a Groupon, we were denied by the owner. She said that since we failed to read the fine print, we cannot use it. She said that it's not her problem that we didn't tell them in advanced that we wanted to use it. Although we understood that it was our error, her attitude was so demeaning and disrespectful, I don't understand how she expects to earn business. When we told her we don't intend on coming back, she was like well, that's fine and shrugged it off. Gosh, not sure how she operates business.

My husband and I both got the Pulled Pork Sandwich and it was really good. Plenty of meat and the sides were a descent size too. Also, we ordered a bowl of Brunswick Stew since the menu said that it is a "Georgia Favorite" and I just happen to be a Georgia girl myself! It was delicious but not quite like the stew we eat at home. The only complaint we had was the service. The waitress was nice but we had to wait over 5 minutes after getting our food before we saw her again to ask for BBQ sauce because the sandwich came with none. We also never got any drink refills. Another customer must have mentioned to her about the slow service because we overheard her tell them that there are only 2 people on staff, 1 waitress and 1 cook.... that's all. Since there were probably 8-10 tables of diners I guess she was doing a pretty good job. She tried hard but we were in there from about 4:45 until 5:30. I can't imagine how the service must have slowed down once the dinner rush came in. I don't blame the waitress because she had her hands full and was doing her best but I can't imagine an owner or manager thinking that 2 people was enough to staff a restaurant with probably 30 tables in it!!

Good portion and delicious BBQ ,would come back again,good bang for the buck,Love the sauces and flavour

It was the second time we were at this restaurant the food was very good . The restaurant has changed hands and the service was great

Interesting menu but all very heavy, meaty options, ended up ordering a stew that looked like last night's leftovers. Nice dessert menu and friendly staff, welcoming ambience, live music, but not my kind of place.
