This restaurant was recommended as the best place to dine on the islands and it certainly lived up to its reputation. We spent around £150 for two people, which included three courses, wine, a pre-dinner drink, and coffee. Despite having paid more at other nearby establishments, the quality of the food here was far superior. I started with the smoked platter, which was very good, followed by the surf 'n' turf, which was excellent. Both of us enjoyed the chocolate fondant for dessert, also excellent. The strong filter coffee to end the meal was a nice touch, as opposed to the typical cappuccinos and lattes. The service was friendly and efficient, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant has a more traditional hunting lodge vibe compared to other places in the area, making it a potentially good place to stay. Overall, highly recommended.
During our stay at Langass Lodge, we stayed in room 9 which was exceptionally clean, peaceful, and offered fantastic views. Marie warmly welcomed us and was extremely helpful throughout our time there. The rest of the staff were polite, the dinner was delicious, and the breakfast options were great as well. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to others.
We stopped off here for a refreshment break during our walk to see the stone circle and Barpa Langass. We had a coffee, tea and soft drinks for the children. We were made to feel welcome. We didn’t have anything to eat but the cakes on display looked amazing, I regret not having one!
Had a delicious family meal here, ate 3 courses all were great. Bread and olives to share, arancini starter (delicious), chickpea and sweet potato curry (perfect- nice and spicy, deeply flavoured, loved it), cranachan dessert, slightly sharp until we added the shortbread (as you should) then it was perfect. Wife had Cullen Skink and veggie burger, loved it. Children had chicken burger and chips and pizza which they devoured and took left overs home. Chocolate brownies and ice cream went down well also. Service was attentive, friendly and efficient. Prices were reasonable. Would go back if we are here again. Highly recommended.
