Anson 11 - El Cajon

Eating is mediocre. definitiw more for the price expected.

I celebrated my birthday. it was a great experience. the appetizers were delicious. we had the Queso-Fondido with chorizo and the Shisito-Pfeffer. we enjoyed all the recommendations of our server dylan. service was great. dylan was attentive to our needs. recommend anson 11.

The good had 7:15 for 6 people. In the past, they were advised and sat down. service was courteous the bad ordered 1st bottle wine, 2012 bordeaux, $95. the server broke cork and the end pushing it into the bottle. use the offered cheese to decant the wein! I told them I wanted a new bottle, they told me they were the last. another wein 2008 priorat, $108. that was earthly, much sediment. they decanted, tasted a little better. my wife tried and accepted it. they claim they had a wee cooler for the storage. dry cork, especially for a bordeaux should occur with proper storage. very small table for six people! had to press it further to remove used plates to have space for water and wine glasses. Eat came from kold. my wife ordered a chicken dish with tomato. Instead, she got a rubber-like chicken, cold, with a mole. with SIX people they automatically set a 20% size. but they do not reveal this when they give them the bill. unnecessary to say that we never come back, especially because they ruin my brother's 70th birthday!

I ordered the darkened Chilean sea bass and the risotto was not properly cooked. unfortunately the fish was dirty. the service could have been much better, our waiter seemed distracted and had to clear our order twice. they brought my friend birthday cake, which was nice since I had indicated that we were celebrating her birthday.

We just had my daughters engagement dinner party at Anson 11 on Saturday night. Our server, Cassie, was amazing and the manager, Shelly went above and beyond to make sure it was a wonderful experience for all of us. The food was incredibly good and our cocktails were delicious. The presentation overall was mind blowing and I will continue to have my family events there.
