Cafe Central - El Cajon

Best dinner in El Paso! Food is consistent and service is always great.

My thin cucumber margarita was fantastic. I ordered the signature cream of the green chili soup it was just as good as I expected. We also enjoyed the pork chop roasted chicken dishes followed by a cream broth. If I'm ever back in El Paso, I definitely come back to Cafe Central!

Upscale comparable to many NYC or Paris, London… love it! Great wine list!

We were traveling from out of town and didn't want to miss the opportunity to eat at Cafe Central. We were not disappointed. The service was impeccable. Our waiter was attentive and provided great recommendations for dinner. We both started with the Cream of Green Chile soup. Amazing flavor and perfect amount of spice. The bread service was a great complement to the soup. After much debate, I decided to go for the ribeye. They aren't lying when they say everything is bigger in Texas. The chipotle butter on top was awesome. The only criticism I have was the tres leches cake. It was one of the reasons I chose this restaurant and unfortunately it fell short of my expectations. The cake overall was dry and lacked flavor, and the bottom layer was so tough that it was almost inedible. I would definitely recommend a different dessert if you want a sweet treat to end the night.

Everything was excellent. Chicken was tender and ribeye was juicy and cooked to perfection.
