Elmer's Family Restaurant - El Cajon

We have eaten there twice now both times the food was excellent service was good prices are good no complaints recommend this place highly to anyone

My friends and I went to Elmer's Family Restaurant and the food was great, the atmosphere was great, and the prices affordable. I used my restaurant gift certificates which they accepted (no specials). Great place and will come again.

I have gone here on and off for years. Great breakfast special!!! I went for the Chicken Fried Steak!!! Not disaapointed, tasted great!!! The service however was slow, no refill on my drink until I asked. I did mention it to the cashier, hope she mentioned it to management. Elmers is a good place to eat, and affordable!!!

A very old school, classic diner atmosphere. My family has been eating here for years. Honestly, the only plate that's really good is the fried chicken special. It's three pieces of chicken, coleslaw, and mashed potatoes. It's about $6. I had the chimichangas but they were not too good. The flan though, the flan IS INCREDIBLE.

Looking for some good hearty breakfast? This is your spot. They also offer a buffet....with menudo. Good coffee great service and its good for big or small family gatherings. Its vintage look inside takes you back in time.... if your from El Paso you'll know it was opened a long time ago ....it has stood the test of time no dought to it being so great. You can even just go for coffee and pie. Enjoy!
