Overall a well appointed place with awesome, super friendly staff, bars, restaurants near San Jacinto Plaza, the Southwest University Park and museums. The restaurant 1700 is beautiful and expensive, Sabor is more casual and inexpensive, also it was my place to go for breakfast. Both are located inside the property. The hotel rooms were confusing it looks like old style and modern went to battle and they just parted the room in half. Parking is $29 plus a weird Parking Sales Tax of $2.39 and there’s nothing free other than wifi, if you are a Bonvoy member there’s really not a lot of perks other than early/ late checkout.
Vyse B went above and beyond when the airline lost my bags and I quickly needed a ride back to the airport. He helped me get my baggage situation addressed even after he was off the clock. There are a lot of things I like about the Paso Del Norte but it was the efforts of Vyse B that will ensure I will never stay at another hotel when I am in El Paso. He is a good example of the kind of service you get at this hotel.
Do NOT stay here on a weekend night. There’s a massively loud night club on the 10th floor that prevents the entire hotel from getting any sleep before 2am. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Marriott property. They clearly do not care about their weekend guests. I’m also pretty sure they’re breaking the El Paso noise ordinance laws. That’s how absurdly loud the nightclub is with multiple speakers outside on their patio and a di screaming into a microphone for 4 hours straight.
I 'll start by saying that the staff in this hotel made everything during my stay perfect. I 'll mention the big things first: the facilities, architecture, and overall physical appearance of the hotel are beautiful. The Dome bar with its Tiffany glass is just gorgeous and gives the place a classic feel. That being said, the staff is what makes every little thing in this hotel special. I noticed the public areas are cleaned frequently, something I look for in a property. As soon as we arrived, the valet was quick to greet my partner and I and helped us with our luggage. The check-in process was quick and friendly. The bartenders at Dome are warm, sociable, and friendly (not to mention, they mix a great martini). Whenever I called any services from the room (room service, valet, front desk) it never rang more than once and all my requests were performed in an impeccably timed manner (literally under five minutes for a drink request to my room). Room had a great view of Juarez/South Downtown El Paso. Serving staff in Sabor was super friendly and great at anticipating our needs during our meals and knew what questions to ask when it came to making our meals great. The rooms, look at the site for yourself, they 're comfortable, private, and follow the Western style theme to the 't '. Special shoutouts to the following staff members: Dome Bar: Dylan, Polo, Jon Carlo, and Maddie Sabor: Ali, Manuel, and Juan Pablo Front Desk: Julia and Ayla Public areas: Agustin I wish I could remember everyone 's names, but THEY 'RE the ones who made our stay comfortable, and memorable. Thank you all!!
Hotel Paso Del Norte is a must stay! I spent a night here while passing through Texas, and the service and atmosphere was so welcoming! Meeting Carlos Rosas at the Sabor restaurant was a pleasant way to start my morning. He was so kind and funny.
