Pilar is exceptional! The service I received was the best I've ever experienced. I have to emphasize that first. The food is incredible as well. I will definitely be returning!
Taryn Is amazing. I absolutely love the service here! The waitress Crystal was so kind and welcoming.
Went here around noon on a Saturday. The place was lively but two of us were still able to grab a table fairly quickly. The server came to take our drink order (cold brew black and a latte) and they kept checking on us even though we were not ready to order yet, which was really nice and attentive of them. We ended up ordering a French toast plate to share. It wasn't the best french toast ive had, it tasted a little bland and the bread felt hard but it was okay. The turkey melt wasnt anything special and the other dish was just fine as well. The service was great, would definitely come back to eat here again.
The last time I visited, the service was lacking, but the food was delicious, so I was looking forward to a tasty breakfast. My friend and I were seated immediately, which should have been the first warning sign since it was usually packed during my previous visits. I ordered the crab cake Benedict but regretted not taking a picture of the inside of the crab cake, which was completely raw. The poached eggs were also severely undercooked. (In my photo, you can see that the left yolk is just about to burst—it's that undercooked.) It was busy, and not wanting to complain, I ate around it, basically just the potatoes and English muffin. When the waiter came to clear the plates, I mentioned the issue (simply hoping he would inform the chef to be more careful). Instead, he took it personally, snapped back, and told me that’s how poached eggs are supposed to be made. I explained that I had eaten many poached eggs before, and these were the worst I had ever encountered. He didn’t even acknowledge how raw the crab cakes were, cut me off, and snatched the plate away so harshly that I flinched. I tried to tell him not to take it personally, as it wasn’t his fault—he didn’t cook it! He stormed off and returned with my bill, minus $10. I attempted to express that his reaction was unnecessary, but he dismissed my concerns, saying I got my discount. It wasn’t about the money; I have plenty of that—it was about how he handled the situation. So, I asked to speak with the manager, which is something I have never done before. She came over and apologized, explaining that he can be like that sometimes. I couldn’t believe it—this behavior is evidently tolerated? She looked at the plate and agreed that it was undercooked. Yet, right after that, I saw her talking to her coworkers, and they were making faces, rolling their eyes, and smirking at me and the waiter. I have a background in retail management, so I’m aware of how staff can react, and I felt unfairly judged as if I were a “Karen” when I knew I hadn’t done anything wrong; they didn’t witness my interaction with the waiter at all. Then she returned with a $10 gift certificate. Why would I want to come back here? The service was terrible, and the food has declined significantly since my last visit. I will never return, and if you want your business to thrive, you need to reconsider your entire staff. Thank you for the worst dining experience I've ever had.
