Bent Oak - Elkhart

My wife and I went to this restaurant for Mother's Day. The service was excellent, but unfortunately, the food was terrible. They even ran out of eggs for our avocado toast appetizer. The presentation of our dishes was sloppy. We both ordered the chicken Alfredo, but were disappointed to find that the noodles were overcooked and gummy, as if they had been left on the stove for hours. I have had better microwavable noodles from Hormel or Lipton for a quick lunch at work. Though I am glad the restaurant reopened, the quality of the food has declined significantly compared to a few years ago.

The food was delicious! The staff was polite and efficient, and the peppermint ice cream was refreshing and delicious. The restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated for the season.

This is a great location to book for private events. However, there is room for improvement in the communication and initiative of the staff and restaurant manager. I emailed Michael, the manager, and Steve, one of the owners, two weeks ago but have not received a response yet. It is recommended that the staff communicate better with customers, be more engaging in the planning process, and be properly trained in customer service and job duties.

Tastefully elegant decor. Can dine in OR in sunroom overlooking lovely golfcourse. Delicious menu and very pleasant servers.

Bent Oak exudes charm, warmth, great food; what more could one wish for in a dining experience! Their holiday brunches offer a wonderful assortment of dishes. Friday nights ROCK!! Jerry and Barb Trolz, for years, set the standard for being warm and gracious hosts with much laughter making one feel welcome..sadly Barb is no longer with us but Jerry has carried on and those of us who enjoy Bent Oak appreciate his caring. Try it, you will enjoy!
