Kao's - Elkhart

I absolutely recommend this place! The spring salad with rice noodles was amazing! Food rating: 5/5.

I typically visit Kaos at least twice a week during my lunch break, and usually, I have no complaints. However, ever since they hired new staff, I've encountered several issues. Today, when I went in for lunch and ordered my usual dish, there seemed to be a mix-up. I either received the wrong order or the cashier misunderstood me, as I ended up with “combo” fried rice that contained pork, which I do not eat. I went back into the restaurant, but the cashiers seemed indifferent to my situation. It's one thing to make a mistake, but it's another to not show concern about fixing it. Although I did receive a refund, I'm still quite disappointed. This restaurant used to be my go-to lunch spot, and now I'm not sure if I'll come back.

This was our first visit to Kao's, and we ordered takeout online. After seeing the restaurant in person, we're definitely eager to dine in sometime. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was friendly. We tried the Mi Cha, Jungle Fried Rice, and the Rocket Shrimp—all of which were absolutely delicious! The portions were quite generous, and each dish will provide us with several meals. We can't wait to return to sample the Taro Egg Rolls!

SO GOOD! My first time coming here and everything is so so so yummy! Service was incredible and the building/decor was so cool! Definitely will be coming again and recommending!Food in the photo: Mango chicken with white rice, Coconut and strawberry boba.
