The exterior of the tavern is simple and the space itself is tucked away deep in the Enchanted Forest shopping center. I've lived next to the shopping center for a year and never noticed this place. Decided to give it a try because I wanted a burger after 9 pm that wasnt fast food. And WOW. Instead of trashy cover music, we got a band with a god for a drummer and an in-sync guitarist and vocalist! The restaurant makes their own smoky ketchup and ranch (well done). I cant believe I'm saying this but I LOVED THE BEETS ON MY SALAD. Great food, great music and we had EXCELLENT service. This place deserves 5 stars for the experience.
I have been to White Oak several times over the years and it is always a wonderful experience. Their menu has items that change seasonally. On my most recent visit I had the pumpkin bisque and it was amazing warm and cozy filled with comforting flavors. I also had the 3 cheese grilled cheese which was also delicious and comforting, like the childhood favorite but all grown up. For dessert I had the chocolate mousse bowl. It was creamy and decadent. And of course the best part, bottomless brunch drinks for 12 dollars. They offer mimosas, white sangria, red sangria, and **** mary's. You don't have to pick just on drink because you can mix and match. The best feature of this bottomless brunch deal is they serve them everyday, which is perfect if you have friends who are not off on the weekend and you want to brunch with them when you are off work or on vacation. Check it out for yourself and enjoy.
White Oak Tavern has a tiny brunch menu, at least as far as actual breakfast food goes. I went the day after Christmas around 11:30 and it wasn't too crowded. Food came out super quick due to that. I wasn't overly impressed with the taste of the food; I asked for my eggs scrambled with cheese but couldn't taste the cheese. Bacon was just okay. Their home maid ketchup was a nice touch though. I don't think the portion was small, but I definitely didn't get full off it. But anytime I go to brunch, I go for the unlimited mimosas, and WOT has them. They actually ran out of champagne from Christmas the day before, but our waiter told us we could do **** Mary's or white sangria. I went with the white sangria and it was even better than the mimosas were. They definitely know how to make good drinks here.
Staff was great and very on point. Clean friendly and well lit. I was there to see a band and I made reservations for 845 bc that's all that was left and the chick hooked me up w a table over an hour early in the corner but still perfect to see.
