Charlie's Catfish - Ellisville

The food was good. Catfish was fresh and delicious. They bring you a bowl of coleslaw, hush puppies and a bowl with a big piece of raw onion with lemons. Did get the raw onion part and it was too thick for me to eat. However definitely will be back when I come to Mississippi. The only thing negative is that they only take cash.

Good catfish, the service and the atmosphere aren't spectacular, but the food is pretty good. It's a good local spot, but I've had better fried catfish. One of our party ordered the hamburger steak... it had a long hair in it, under the gravy. I'll give it another try when we visit again.

If your in a hurry,this is not the place. If you are by yourself this is not the place. If you have the time and like coleslaw and crackers then try it out. The food was seasoned and good.

Always the best boiled shrimp anywhere. But also the best hushpuppies and cole slaw
