I have been a few times and have enjoyed sitting outside on the beautiful terrace as well as inside at a lovely table. While I do agree with others that the prices are on the higher side, particularly for the larger cuts of steak, I was a bit disappointed by the size of the 700g T-bone. I have had larger portions of meat elsewhere. However, the steak was well cooked and the peppercorn sauce and sticky toffee pudding were some of the best I have ever had.
My partner and I recently had dinner at this restaurant, which is located in a beautiful setting with charming spatial features. It is housed in an old pub that has been renovated. We decided to skip the starters as none of them seemed appealing to us. However, we did try the oyster mushrooms, but we wanted a different side dish so we didn't order them. We both ordered fillet steaks, one with roasted garlic butter cooked medium rare and the other cooked medium with bearnaise sauce. The kitchen accidentally mixed up our orders, but we didn't mention it as we were hungry. The steak itself was very tasty, and we both rated it an 8/10. Overall, the meal was good. My fat chips were slightly undercooked, but the mushrooms were perfectly cooked. We each had a cocktail, and my smoked drink added a nice touch to the experience. I would recommend The Plough Inn, but it is a bit on the expensive side compared to other steak restaurants we have visited.
The sharing platter of roast was amazing! I cannot wait for my daughter to start eating solid foods so she can have her own portion!
We spent the day in park painshill and found this place to eat. the service was amazing since I booked the table until I got my bill. the staff is very friendly and eating was amazing, I think is the best Sunday roast I ever had. the place also has a great mood
We didn't even know about it but a real gem hidden on the outskirt of Cobham! The pub is absolutely recommended! We went there on a Tuesday evening and it was gorgeous. We were looking for a warm place, quiet and with good food and we found just that. The steak was fantastic, cooked to perfection (or at least it was for me). The staff was lovely(from the moment i called to check if they had a table to arrival and service) and it just felt like this place should be our regular pub for casual dinner with family, friends or just for date night. We are about 15min drive away but I will happily do the drive just for such a nice steak. It wasn't what I would call cheap but for the quality of the wine, the food, the staff and the atmosphere, I will say it's actually really well priced. If the management sees my review, please don't change anything as it was really great!
