Hui Lau Shan - Elmhurst

It is not always so easy to find good and authentic Hong Kong style desserts, and I was so excited to see that Hui Lau Shan was opened in this neighborhood, and her menu offers a good selection of choices. I ordered Mango Mochi and Taro Paste, both are very tasty. The Mango Mochi is not super sweet, this is definitely a good choice for someone who has no sweet tooth like me. I would especially recommend the Taro Paste, it was soooo good, I expected something extremely sweet, but that was mild sweet and pleasantly creamy. The purple Yam was this perfect **** I can't stop without being guilty as it's healthy: The place looks small, but its spacious with a lot of seating inside. And I heard it opens in the late night, I will definitely come back with my friends later!

It's surprising to find it here. And even more surprising is that it doesn't seem so popular or crowded. The interior is spacious and comfortable. If you are here, you would recommend to stop and try their Taro balls and sweet potato balls. A decent place.

If you love Mangos, this is the place for you! Everything on the menu has mangos in it. This is the mango and the masculinity yoly. It was pretty thick when we got it first, but it started to melt a little in our hands, so it was easier to drink. It is a subtle sweet and very refreshing.

Let me start by stating that I'm usually no desert fanatics but this place might just be the place that flips me for one. Was in the area this past weekend and my girlfriend wanted to pop in for some mango, the bright and cute decoration caught her eyes. We ordered the Durian Pancake and Mango snack sampler, all were really good!! The mango was fresh cut, hand made and prepared, spacious seating in the back was comfy, and the walls with cute mango LED lights were perfect for keeping my girlfriend busy with Instagram selfies :D Overall, a great place to visit! Highly recommend.
