Even though I didn't see a parking lot, I easily found street parking and entered what looked like a hotel or apartment building right by the Mighty Chemung River. Since it was early on a Friday afternoon, there were only a few people enjoying the beer selection. They had around 30 taps, with a strong emphasis on cider, fruit beers, and sours which are not my favorite, but there was still a good selection of New York beers available at a reasonable price. The bartender was friendly and even shared some history while I sipped on a Wagner Valley black lager and Hothouse porter. I also wandered onto the back deck to take in the beautiful views of Clinton Island in the river. I was very pleased to discover this wonderful little pub!
We waited 15 minutes for the menu, 10 minutes to place our order, and 20 to receive a pulled pork flatbread and chipotle chicken sandwich, both of which were terrible. Drinks had to be obtained from the bar, where a glass of Bully Hill wine was priced the same as a whole bottle. The only options available were wine and craft beer, with no liquor options. Wait times were only estimates. The view of the Chemung River from the porch was enjoyable.
This is a fantastic restaurant in Elmira! They have an excellent selection of beers, a fun atmosphere, and friendly staff. Be sure to visit if you're in the area! I would give their service and atmosphere a 5-star rating. I highly recommend trying their Beer Flight!
This restaurant is a hidden gem! The couple who run it are adorable and work really hard. The location is beautiful both inside and out. They have an excellent selection of beer and a menu full of delicious and creative dishes. We tried the Mexican street corn and everything bagel flat bread on the back porch and it was amazing. It's a peaceful spot, perfect for dining rain or shine.
Great location with a wide variety of beers to choose from. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. The only downside was that the bar area inside had a strange smell, so we opted to sit outside. Overall, a great spot to dine at. Price range per person is between $10 and $20. Food and service both rated a 5, while the atmosphere received a 4. Highly recommend trying the beer flight.
