Small Plates - Eltham

In a family centric area, this would be well placed to provide a good option. In the heart of the Eltham Town Square it would have been nice to have something a little less "Chapel Street".We get it. Tapas style, small portions, adult style, or something for the local hoi poiloi to get into, but not very family friendly. A bowl of chips is about all there is for the kids.But perhaps my kids are too fussy.Food OK, service average, if they "get busy" then understaffing means that you will need to have the time to take in the atmosphere...Don't sit on the end seat outside though, because that is technically not on their liquor license so you won't be able to get any alcohol there. *sigh*

We went to a weekday lunch a couple of weeks ago and were surprised to find it empty. We were even more surprised to find the high quality of food, friendly service and really good list of wines by the glass. All this makes this the best place in Eltham for lunch at the moment. Try it before the word gets out and everyone is there!

I went with a couple of friends on a Friday night. It is a cute establishment , crowded seating and has tapas like food. Service is good and staff are friendly. We ordered a number of the tapas to try. The food was quite good. I particularly liked the fried stuffed jalapeños, which are spicy. I felt,a lot of the other food was average to quite good,quality. Not fabulous and slightly over priced

Lunch with three friends. Really interesting Scandi-style decor, simple, light wood and airy. Situated basically in a carpark, but inside it's light and bright. Great service from lovely staff. We shared the arancini, the KFC and the lamb shoulder wrapped in kaitifi. As we were three, they added one extra serve to each dish so we didn't have to cut up. This was very filling so completed the meal with the creme brulee and pannacotta. Thumbs up all round. Really good coffee. Will be back to work my way through the delicious menu. Would be great for an 'event
