A Coluna - Elvas

In a small back street in Elvas. Ended up eating here as our first choice of restaurant was closed. Friendly staff, despite their limited English and our limited Portuguese. Food was simple but good grilled meat, fries and salad. Very reasonably priced.

We really enjoyed our lunch in A Coluna. It’s an inviting and traditional restaurant and we felt very welcome even though we don’t speak Portuguese. The gentleman who looked after us was lovely. There was a good choice of food and the dishes we chose (squid and pork) were very tasty. We also enjoyed desserts, a glass of wine and coffee, all of which were very good value.

Well am i just getting sick of Portuguese food? Another place with top notch ratings that i found underwhelming….not bad mind you just not worthy of more than 3…service was excellent. But the food just didn’t to anything for me

Un lugar fuera de los tumultos, donde los lugareños suelen comer. bien servido, buena comida, buen precio y muy tranquilo. No ha sido la primera vez ni la última vez que vamos.

Un lugar encantador en el centro de Elvas. el tratamiento exquisito y familiar, varias generaciones juntas que cuidan de ti con afecto y cuidado. la comida muy rica, hemos comido varios tipos de bacalao y postres caseros. vender vinos. altamente recomendado.
