I read many reviews claiming that this place was fantastic and authentic, but it doesn't appear to be a restaurant anymore. Instead, customers order at the hotel bar and are served typical "bar food." The garlic and coriander naan was deep-fried, resembling garlic bread, and there was no server to bring the different dishes. The "steel" curry seemed to be made with cubed frozen product. Unless the original Nirvana restaurant has closed and the hotel has taken over its kitchen, I don't understand how this place has received good reviews.
We ate here because we were staying hotel and weather was poor. Wish we hadn't it is Indian food, but I think it was microwaved, tasted OK but left me uncomfortable for a day afterwards
I ordered myself Daal Tadka and Peshwari Naan and it was delicious! I was a resident of the hotel and ordered myself a curry for dinner which arrived quickly and well presented! I was very impressed with the food and I'm (almost) sad I don't...live closer to taste more of their delicious dishes! The staff were friendly and the food is a good price for what you get.
The Goan fish curry was outstanding. The service was excellent and there was a diverse selection of Asian dishes available.
