No more chances.I am sick of the filthy tables. The filthy, sticky floor. The torn, slashed upholstery. The place is rarely cleaned, and when it is, they cross-contaminate with their dirty rag. They use the same cloth for the tables, chairs, counter and you guessed it: the baby highchairs. I bet they use it on the mugs afterwards too..Whenever I order a flat white coffee, asking for it extra hot, it is presented proudly just luke-warm. I would hardly call this extra hot. Every single time.Whenever I order an iced-cold Voltage beverage, it is presented with the ice in it, which you would think would be "as cold as ice", but no. The drink somehow is still practically room temperature. How is this even possible? Is the milk kept out? How can it go so wrong? The staff are so inexperienced, it is just not funny. One staff member has barista experience, the rest have no idea what they're doing. They don't even know what the Gloria Jean's rewards cards are - and they work there! Here is something I haven't seen in other Gloria Jean's before... Inconsistent prices. Every other branch I have been to has had the prices printed on the menu, but here they are hand-written and changed. Some days a flat white is $3.50, others $3.45, $3.70, $3.65?? And no, this isn't a public holiday charge.I'm happy to see that I'm not the only person copping it. I once saw someone sitting next to me who had the most stale caramel slice I had ever seen in my life.A male in his 30s had this dry, old caramel slice which resembled a brick. He tried piercing the corner of the slice with a fork to eat (as you do). The fork barely made an indent in the top of it. He then tried sawing the side of it with a knife, as if it was a piece of tough steak. Didn't budge. It still looked like it was straight out of the cabinet untouched. With all of his strength and energy, he tried cutting the slice in two with the knife, pushing downwards with both hands. The handle of the knife snapped off! I don't blame him for pushing it aside and just walking away with his coffee after that.Awful, absolutely awful. This place needs a makeover fast. For too many years now, it has been in the dumps like this. If it wasn't in Erina Fair, it would probably already have closed down due to lack of business.
During my trip from Canada to Australia, my only concern was booking my hostel the day before leaving.
This is the only spot that offers coffee and lattes in larger-sized cups.
I visited this restaurant for a late lunch on a Saturday and was impressed by the variety of sandwiches offered. The coffee selection was also impressive.
