Tempura Japanese Grill - Ermita

Had a terrible experience at this branch last night. Took my caucasian friends for dinner. We enjoyed our entree (california maki) and end up ordering more for the of us while waiting for our mains.We are thinking of getting the buffet for but you have to add if u order a signature dish which are included in the buffet menu (you have to look the small writings below otherwise you'll get charge for every signature dish).... so we decided to just order their signature dishes (because they look good on the picture).... but when our orders came in, they looked opposite to the picture.I ordered Gyu Wafu steak for but it's not enough to feed even for a small child the beef cut in cubes were chewy and vegetables were overcooked, though they apologised that they dish doesn't have young sweet corn because they runout of supply.A friend ordered and it is not good too. Overcooked and the noodles smells burnt with shrimps on it.The Chicken Karaage Don was good which another friend enjoyed it but he reckons it would be nice if the crumbs is fried golden brown.But the Kaizen Sizzler is another disappointment. The picture shows lots of shrimps but comes out only and the rests are fishballs and a very small serving.For the price. This place is not budget friendly, small servings, and terrible service.We end up getting breads cakes on the way back to our hotel because we are still hungry. It is the most embarrassing experience because i am the one who took them to the restaurant and I felt like I've been scammed.I give stars because we enjoyed the maki and one friend is happy with his Chicken Kaarage Don. I don't have pictures of our dishes because I avoid taking pictures with food when socialising esp with white people.

I find the place a little underrated especially since they offer unlimited yakiniku and sidings. The pork and chicken was enough for us, the meat were flavorful but not something that's overpowering. We were so full before we even had our seconds. The food was okay for the price however the service was very slow. I'm not sure if it was some kind of delaying tactic since we came a quarter before PM.

Yesterday had a terrible experience in this industry. my caucasian friends for dinner. we enjoyed our escape (kalifornien maki) and at the end order 2 more for the 5 of us while waiting for our net we remember getting the buffet for p599 but they must add p90 if ordering a signature dish that are included in the buffet menu (they must see the small fonts below, otherwise they will receive the fee for each signature dish). so we have decided to order only their underwriting courts (because they look good on the picture). but when our commands came, they saw the picture I had ordered for P475, but it is not enough to feed the bark for a small child...read more

First, this restaurant has a huge signage that says eat all you can, but it turns out that only the next dishes are unlimited and they can have only 1 portion of 1 chosen main dish. they also do not allow them to sit together if not everyone on the table will use the unli option. we finished ordering ala carte instead of regarding the food, the gyudon was quite good, but there were rice grains that were not coked. the spicy tuna roll was good. ebi tempura had more brot than garnelen. gyoza was in order, but the california roll, salad and miso soup were not so good. banana nut shake was good place was ok, service was ok. total 2 stars since eating should have been a lot...read more
