I stepped in and ordered an expresso coffee and I really enjoyed my cup of expresso coffee in this nice cozy cafe. Friendly and smiling staff members.

During a long day of meetings in Esbjerg I had lunch here. It is a very nice and very traditional restaurant with nice and broad selection of Danish open sandwiches. During warm days there are lots of seats in the garden.

This small place that has a cozy athmosfere, friendly service and very traditional menu is highly recommended. Even though it 's small, it 's not cramped like you see in other popular places where the owners try to squeeze the last seating into a space that isn 't there. Efforts have been made to improve the acoustics that was typically not an area of interest more than a hundred years ago when the restaurant was founded. The food is an assortment of high quality open face sandwiches some of which are served warm. If you never tried it, do make sure to have the local specialty Bakskuld a salted, cured and smoked very delicious open face fish sandwich.
